A pioneer in early video art, William Wegman began working with his Weimaraner dogs in the mid-1970s. His earlier photographs, videos and drawings featured his first Weimaraner, Man Ray, whose image graced many magazine covers, gaining her almost celebrity status. Over the years, as his canine family grew, Wegman continued to photograph them in various costumes, poses and settings. On the occasion of his 2000-01 exhibition at FWM, artist William Wegman designed this oversized silk scarf featuring a black and white "forest" of legs. Digitally printed on silk twill, this attractive piece can be displayed as a framed print edition or worn as a scarf.
